i love this track so much, it's my favorite song off this album. it might be my favorite new song i've listened to this week.
i had the pleasure of talking to Myles when we met at a hostel in berlin. he told me his influences were the beach boys and i think that really shines through here, especially with the wonderful riff at the beginning, where the guitar matches the melody
the harmonies through the song really evoke the beach boys, and i'm reminded of the influence the beach boys took from JS Bach - going to link two tracks here that I think of tangentially from each artist -
Wouldn't It Be Nice ,
Invention No. 4 in D Minor, BWV 775. the scale run at the start of this song makes me think of bach in particular

when i was on my solo trip in europe the first guy i bumped into in at the hostel in berlin was a busker who told me he was working on an album. i caught a few glimpses of demos while we were hanging out but didn't think much of it
last night i saw on his instagram that his album was released and gave it a listen and really loved it! this first track is about his experience in berlin. it's cool to see someone write a song about an experience you shared
