the banjo and the harp have similar (very trebly) timbre, so it almost sounds like they're the same instrument. their voices blend together, like the high and low notes on a piano

breaks from the main chord progression, before starting to vamp on the dominant V. great way to build tension, plays with the desire to resolve down to the tonic

the drums stop here as well (before building back up), which adds to the sense of drama
