9/11/2025 public

when listening to this in college, the climax would make me think of this poem:

4/9/2025 [4:50] public

The most intense climax I've ever heard in a piece of orchestral music. The horns, the strings, the drums, 5 minutes of build up before this... it's incredible.

When I would listen to this song in college sometimes I'd stop listening after this part, and I still think it's somewhat strange to have such an astounding climax so soon in a 20 minute song. But I guess this was meant to score a play, so maybe it corresponds to something that happens in the play.

Mentioned in Concierto De Aranjuez: 2. Adagio [8:49] Joaquín Rodrigo

3/9/2026 [8:49] public

hearing the entire orchestra come in after the solo guitar part at 8:49 is genuinely one of the most intense climaxes i've heard in a classical piece. spiritual experience.

rivals the climax in album art for Hamlet Fantasy Overture, Op. 67, TH 53Hamlet Fantasy Overture, Op. 67, TH 53. the climax of this song is much more hopeful and triumphant - the one in hamlet fantasy sounds like the end of the world
