one more notable thing about the last half of this track - the piano switches the harmony around a bunch, but the bass stays on the same root note the entire time. creates the impression that they're just vamping over one chord

for the song as a whole, the first part feels like a rambling warning about some dark future, and the second part feels like that warning coming to pass - and the lack of bass changes makes that future feel inevitable and ominous

i really like the sound of a drum machine coming through a rotary speaker, would be a fun sound to experiment with

turns into a fusion track here, drums come in and the lead guitar gets a lot busier

very cool buildup of instrumentation in this track. at first it's just a piano and a drum machine with this shifting high pass filter (sounds like a rotary speaker or a uni vibe pedal)

then an electric guitar comes in, then bass, then strings. really fills out the song
