publicI have a distinct memory of playing this on the drive back home from college during Thanksgiving break my senior year. The song came on during a stretch of highway in the East Bay, and I remember looking at the sea of tail lights ahead and the houses on the rolling hills in the distance.
Listening now, it brings back all those feelings - the gratitude of Thanksgiving, the feeling of being in a transitional period (I was close to finishing college), the warm feeling of going home to see family, the bittersweet feeling of knowing this might be one of the last times I made that drive.

publicI love how the rhythm guitar cuts from a busy strumming pattern into a spacey reverbed echo after the first chorus.

publicMy friend Michael plays bass in this band. He was one of the first people I met that encouraged me to take music more seriously, and he introduced me to my school's guitar club. We used to jam on Fridays on a parking garage when the weather was warm.
Those are some of my fondest memories from college.

publicIn the movie, this score plays during a montage where the characters are searching for a dumpling restaurant. It's a transitional scene, and I watched the movie during the second semester of my senior year of high school, a transitional period of my life.
Ever since, I've associated this song with transitional periods of my life - summer breaks, unemployed weeks before starting a new job, etc. etc.
